PORTALS
A World Tour, Reimagined
Breaking the mold of what tour visuals can be.
For BTSM’s PORTALS World Tour, Gamut Studio served as the core creative partner behind the cinematic visual identity, crafting a story-driven experience that played out across the world’s biggest stages, from Ultra and EDC to Red Rocks and the Brooklyn Mirage. Built from scratch using hyper-real 3D animation and motion capture, every frame was designed to serve the narrative
The Rise of Naomi
At the heart of the visuals is Naomi, the tour’s central figure and a fan-favorite character whose presence now defines the BTSM era. Our work helped shape her design, deepen her story, and anchor the emotional throughline of the show. Entire sections of the concert were constructed like a film, tied together by cinematics that unfolded across the set, evolving from moment to moment, start to finish.

Expanding the Universe
These visuals weren’t just designed to accompany the music, they expanded the world. Working hand-in-hand with BTSM and Kai Wachi, we seamlessly integrated Kai’s IP and character lore into the broader BTSM narrative, growing the brand in bold new directions. The result: a unified, cinematic world that audiences could step into and believe in, whether on screen, on stage, or in merch.

Built Frame by Frame
Our approach was full-scale and hands-on. We led the creative direction, captured lifelike motion on mocap stages, and crafted every asset, character, and environment from the ground up. The collaboration wasn’t just a visual job, it was a worldbuilding initiative. We helped define a new era of the BTSM brand, and the ripple effect can be seen across press coverage, marketing materials, and fan culture.

A New Standard for the Stage
Portals is more than a tour, it's a benchmark. It’s proof that tour visuals can tell real stories, build lasting IP, and move audiences around the world. At Gamut Studio, this is our standard: crafted, cinematic work that redefines what's possible on stage.
